After a ladle is moved into a vacuum tank, vacuum degassing is implemented with a steam-jet pump. Argon is blown in through the bottom to stir the liquid. Hydrogen and nitrogen content can be removed and the oxygen and sulphur contents can be further reduced, resulting in molten steel of higher cleanness and better properties.
VOD has such functions as vacuum degassing, argon stirring, oxygen decarburization, non-vacuum temperature measurement and samping, etc. It can process steel for bearing, alloy structural steel, spring steel, high quality carbon steel, ultra-low carbon stainless steel, etc. Due to its superb capability of vacuum degassing, the conent of hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen will go to minimum, and the elements are precisely adjusted, the inclusions sufficiently float up and the cleanness is effectively raised.
On account of the various types VOD processes and the high quality, the users can adapt more flexibly to market needs.
