Three-phase AC EAF uses high temperature generated by electrode arc to smelt metals. The equipment takes small floor space and effectively removes sulfur, phosphorus and other impurities and easily control the temperature in furnace for smelting ordinary steel, high quality carbon steel, stainless steel, various alloy steels and other special steels.
EAF consists of the tilting mechanism, shell, cover, electrode lifting system, cover lifting and rotating mechanism, high current circuit(short-net) system, hydraulic system, water-cooling system and other components. It uses PLC and IPC systems so that real time dynamic display is on the monitor screen.
Tapping can be in two forms: launder tapping and eccentric bottom tapping (EBT). Electric energy, as the main heat source, is accompanied by other auxiliary energy to shorten the smelting cycle, reduce power consumption and save cost.
